W elcome! We are Scott and Laura Roussel, Regional Owners of EXIT Realty Arkansas and EXIT Realty Oklahoma,  subfranchisors of EXIT Realty. Scott and I first heard about EXIT in December 2003 from our friends who own several EXIT franchises in Florida .  At the end of February 2004, we bought the Arkansas region and hence began our relationship with EXIT.  Because we are so convinced that EXIT is going to revolutionize the real estate industry and be extremely successful, we purchased the Oklahoma region in December 2004.

Scott has been in the insurance business since 1976.  From 1990 until 2005, Scott was the President and majority stockholder of SMC, Inc., a third party administrator for health care products.  In addition, he manages a life and health insurance agency that we own.  Prior to these, Scott sold life and health insurance products.

I am a CPA and owned and operated my own firm for 24 years.  My practice has included tax preparation and planning for business and individual clients, monthly write-up services, computer consultation and setup, as well as some financial planning.  In December 2004 I sold  my accounting practice in order to devote myself full time to growing our EXIT businesses.

Although Scott and I have never sold real estate, we have been involved in real estate from an owner's standpoint for several years.  We own several commercial rental properties and have been involved in developing both a residential and a commercial real estate development.

Scott and I have always been very active in our church, community and state.  Scott has served as president of the United Way Board of White Co., The Kiwanis Club, the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home Board, and on various committees of the local Chamber of Commerce.  He is currently serving on the Board of Trustees of the University of Central Arkansas. I have served as Campaign Co-chairman for the American Cancer Society, Vice-President of the Junior Auxiliary of Searcy, member of the United Way of WhiteCounty, and the Searcy Chamber of Commerce. Together we are currently serving as Community Group Leaders at our church.

Because of Scott's background in insurance, the idea of residuals made sense to us immediately.  The idea of “doing the work once and getting paid over and over again” is nothing new to us. With my background in accounting, I saw the opportunity for real estate agents to have retirement plans and cash flow that they have never had before, thereby giving them financial security.   We were also impressed by the level of thought, planning and time that was put into developing this company.  We were sold on EXIT the moment we were introduced to it!   We saw it as an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a company that is going to be tremendously successful and revolutionize the real estate industry!
